As a materials engineer, I fabricate and study electrochemical systems for semiconductor, metal-semiconductor & PN Junction heterostructures. My primary focus is in fabrication of flexible solar cells, LEDs and photoelectrochemical cells on epitaxial or highly ordered substrates for superior efficiency. Some of my earlier work includes electrochemical synthesis of materials for Li-ion battery anodes.
Some of my recent work include electrodeposition of epitaxial gold on silicon as proxy for single-crystal and as a subtrate for tandem solar cells & electrodeposited germanium nanowires as a high capacity anode material for Li-ion batteries.
